When we Collide blog tour review

William has spent six years running from his past and the last eight months trying to rid his mind of the dreams that increasingly haunt his nights. Trapped in a world of false ambitions and feigned affections, William knows he’s reached a breaking point and something’s going to give.
Maggie had lived her entire life without hope until one man showed her what it meant to be loved. He’d been her light in a lifetime of darkness. Six years ago, that darkness stole him away. Without him, she’s surrendered herself to an existence she doesn’t know how to escape.
When the family William left behind is struck by tragedy, he is called back to the one place he’s sworn to never return to again.
In a moment that will change his life forever, William comes face to face with the girl who, with one look, captured his heart. He is unable to ignore the buried desires and the hope for the future they’d once believed they’d have.
Now William is ready to fight to take back what had been stolen from him six years before.

When first starting When We Collide by A.L. Jackson I had not read any of the reviews or the description I am a reader that likes to go into a book unswayed by another's opinion. Rarely that happens but when I am able to pick up a book that no one I know is currently discussing I am relieved. From the beginning I noticed how incredibly the book was written. The Author takes you from past to present, dreams to reality and person to person almost flawlessly and I really enjoyed the lack of confusion on my part. From page one I held a heavy heart for William and the boy he was chasing through the woods. Something as I read just didn't seem right. As I continued along I passed through some very happy moments among the characters such as Family, and proposals but I also ran a cross some really dark parts of the book Abuse mental and physical, and even rape. Parts actually made me actually come to tears and feel so sorry that an individual could be treated so horrid. At one point I actually had to walk away from the book and consult a friend about how this book made my heart hurt and made tears stream down my face. What she told me was "It must be a great book to bring out that kind of emotion" taking her words I picked up When we Collide once again and I am so glad I did. I started reading at 9pm and I finished the entire book six hours later. This book has so many ups and downs that are on many different levels. The Main character is a girl who grew to be a woman that no matter what she had gone through in her lifetime she loved with her whole heart and even though mostly scared all the time she lived her life to protect her child no matter how bad she had it Maggie was such a strong woman end even though just a character in a book she deserved so much. The other two main characters were Troy and William. William has proved his love for another only to have her ripped from him sending him in a downward spiral of hate. And Troy he is a man that in my opinion is as fake as they come. He's Mr. Perfect out in the world but when he's home behind closed doors he is a ball of hate that explodes and lashes out. All in all this was a very well written book with a lot of thought put into it. I would most definitely would recommend it to others because it was a page turner and kept you hoping for the best for Maggie but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under eighteen. When we Collide holds so much hurt and emotion while harnessing love in the end. In a weird way the saying Love conquers all is very fitting for this book
