Welcome Emma Meade to the blog

My name is Emma Meade and I’m a Vampireholic

I can’t get enough of these fabulous creatures of the night. Dracula, Spike and Angel from Buffy, Damon, Stefan and Caroline from The Vampire Diaries, the scary guys from 40 Days of Night, Kiefer Sutherland and his gang from The Lost Boys and so on. Good, bad, somewhere in between – doesn’t matter to me.  I love them all.

I also suffer from OCD: Obsessive Cullen Disorder.  Ever since I happened upon a fan made video for the Twilight books on YouTube about four and a half years ago, I’ve been hooked on Edward and his sparkly family. I read all the books once a year, usually before the next film comes out. There are going to be squeals and tears at the screening of Breaking Dawn Part Two in November, as I bid farewell to Bella and Forks alongside my sisters and friends.

My YA novel, Under the Desert Moon is a coming-of-age story that just happens to include the cheeky, fun loving vampire, James Linkin. He rolls into town with the rest of the cast and crew of Kiss of the Vampire, a horror flick being shot in the sleepy town of Copperfield, Arizona. He doesn’t bargain for the curiosity of hometown girl, Erin Harris.  She knows something’s up with James, and she’s determined to get to the bottom of the mystery.

For those who like their vampires with a slice of erotica, there’s my short story collection, Night Sighs. Meet rock star, vampire Tristan and his band, The Dead Beats, the hottest group in London right now. Tristan wants his girlfriend, Alex to join him on the dark side.  So far she’s resisting his efforts. Can she hold out much longer?

Of course not! I know I couldn’t.

When I’m not working on my next book, I’m writing reviews on paranormal books, TV shows and films for my blog: Emma’s Ramblings on Supernatural Fiction. If you ever want to talk books & movies, stop by for a chat.
