Alexia Purdy interview And giveaway

Thank you Alexia for comeing on vampsandstuff and telling us about A Dark Faerie Tale

1-why is story telling important to you
It's important to me because there are stories in my head begging to come out. I am but a vessel that types them out. I think people would enjoy
these stories immensely, I am priveledged to be able to do that. Reading is very essential, writing stories supports this and keeps vivid imaginations
2-what inspired you to write A Dark Faerie Tale
I actually wrote Ever Shade book 1 after I had a dream about a being made of eletricity and blue fire. It intrigued me and I couldn't stop thinking
about it and how it would make a fabulous story. So I developed the characters and the story came into my head as I went along. It's been amazing how it
just develops itself after a while.
3-how many books are their going to be in a dark faerie tale
Right now I have 5 books planned, I do want to keep going in it and I do have a short story spin off series to showcase some minor characters. So really,
I don't have a clue how long it could possibly go.
4-who is your Favorite character
My favorite character from A Dark Faerie Tale series is Soap, who's actual name is Rylan. He has some quirks but is fun, loving and a bit of a prankster. He also
has a mysterious side that I have so many plans for. He's is quite a versatile person and I enjoy writing him.
5-what music do you listen to when you write
I listen to all types of music. I will compile lists of music that goes with the mood I want for the book. I do tend to listen to a lot of soundtracks to music, instrumental
and not when I am in long writing sessions. I enjoy all sorts of music but my favorites are: Linkin Park, Warpaint, Evanescence, Sia, Anna Nalick, Adele, oh so many.
6-where do you write at
I write on my couch in the living room with a lapdesk and my laptop. It's comfy and easy for a restless person to shift around like me. LOL
7-what are you working on now
I am working on 'Disarming (Reign of Blood #2)' and 'Ever Winter (A Dark Faerie Tale #3)' It's a bit insane trying to work on more than one project at once, I have so
many i am working on.
8-what's one thing that readers would be suprised to learn about you

Hmmm, I guess maybe is that I am a bit of a hermit but if you get me out of my cave, I am pretty easy going/outgoing and enjoy chatting a lot. Go figure.
9-do you have a favorite quote
Yes, it's: 'You don't have to be great to get started but you do have to get started to be great.' I forget who said that.
10-what advice will you tell all the upcoming writers
Keep writing AND reading. Find mentors in the field and get some loyal beta readers and proofreaders that can help you out anytime. Also, this isn't an overnight success
kind of thing. Unless you are signed to a big 6 publisher, and even then. The work just begins after you finish writing a book, so don't sit back yet.
11-what one thing you can't live without
I need to have coke to drink and chocolate. Oh and lip balm. I constantly lick my lips. Need to have it!!
12-favorite food
Pasta, anything italian. Love it.
13-favorite movie
My favorite movie, I'm a sap and I love epic life stories, I guess my favorites change over time but I love the movie Scrooge with Bill Murray. He's hilarious.
14favorite song
My favorite song changes too, at the moment, it is Rolling in the Deep by Adele
11-favorite place
My home. I love being home with family.
12-favorite animal
My favorite animal is a cockatiel bird. I used to have some until they died. Had them for many years, they are so sweet and loving.
